Instead of uninstalling the driver, I used the following command in command prompt: powercfg -requestsoverride DRIVER "ASUS Xonar DGX Audio Device" SYSTEM . This tells windows to ignore whatever is keeping it awake and go to sleep anyway. If I unplugged my headset, both the USB Audio Device and the Legacy Kernel Caller entries were gone upon running powercfg -requests again. The problem still persisted after unplugging the headset.
